Black Psychiatry - Psychiatry for the Culture Thur. 6/11 at 7 pm

This is a time where there is an urgent need for open conversations of Black mental health in the wake of mental and physical assaults against Black lives. In this townhall, panelists will discuss the impact of the killing of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd on the Black Community as well as the weaponization of privilege against Black people. It is important that we address the impact that this trauma is having on the collective mental health of our community. The panel will include psychiatrists, mental health advocates, and community activists - including Ourselves Black’s Chief Editor - Dr. Sarah Y. Vinson.
